{"id":484,"date":"2022-06-03T10:32:53","date_gmt":"2022-06-03T10:32:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.women-inf.ited.es\/?page_id=484"},"modified":"2022-12-05T22:55:04","modified_gmt":"2022-12-05T22:55:04","slug":"el-proyecto","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.women-inf.ited.es\/en\/el-proyecto\/","title":{"rendered":"The project"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-advanced-columns-b9801e71\" class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-advanced-columns has-1-columns has-desktop-equal-layout has-tablet-equal-layout has-mobile-equal-layout has-vertical-unset\"><div class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-advanced-columns-overlay\"><\/div><div class=\"innerblocks-wrap\">\n<div id=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-advanced-column-728b0b1d\" class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-advanced-column\"><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.women-inf.ited.es\/en\/\" target=\"_self\">Women@INF <\/a> project has its origins in diverse activities generated in some of the societies that conform <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scie.es\/\" target=\"_self\">SCIE<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Creation and organisation of the \u2018Engendering Technologies\u2019 Workshop organised in 2014 in Tenerife by the University of La Laguna within the framework of Interaction 2014 and supported by <a href=\"https:\/\/aipo.es\/\">AIPO<\/a> (Association of Human-Computer Interaction), where the Google Tech&amp;Ladies initiative was also presented for the first time. This Workshop has continued since that date, a specific award has been created to promote and give visibility to this area within <a href=\"https:\/\/aipo.es\/\">AIPO<\/a> , and there is also a dedicated committee for the promotion of gender in the area of HCI (Human-Computer Interaction).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">The Spanish Society of Computer Architecture and Technology (SARTECO) organises the annual \u2018WSARTECO Meetings\u2019 as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/sarteco.org\/\" target=\"_self\">SARTECO<\/a>. Conference. These meetings reflect on the type of strategies that can be promoted to help young female researchers starting their careers, as well as to identify the factors that have caused the apparent reduction in the number of young female PhD students in the area, and in fact promote initiatives that help to increase the number of female graduates who opt for postgraduate studies in these fields.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>La Asociaci\u00f3n Espa\u00f1ola para la Inteligencia artificial (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.aepia.org\/aepia\/\">AEPIA<\/a> ) para dar mayor visibilidad a las mujeres investigadoras en el \u00e1mbito de la Inform\u00e1tica en general y de la Inteligencia Artificial en particular, concede el premio Franc\u00e9s Allen dentro de la Conferencia Espa\u00f1ola para la Inteligencia Artificial (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.aepia.org\/aepia\/index.php\/caepia\">CAEPIA<\/a>), que se organiza con car\u00e1cter bianual, con el objeto de promocionar las dos mejores tesis doctorales realizadas por mujeres que puedan ser referentes a futuras estudiantes de los estudios de inform\u00e1tica. Adem\u00e1s, realiza labores de difusi\u00f3n en webminarios y charlas en institutos, algunos de los m\u00e1s relevantes han sido: <a href=\"https:\/\/cuacfm.org\/radioco\/programmes\/la-ciencia-es-femenino\/\">La Ciencia Es Femenino<\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/catedrafeminismos.gal\/events\/\"> C\u00e1tedra Feminismos 4.0<\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mujerhoy.com\/actualidad\/202002\/24\/womennow-2020-mujeres-ciencia-tecnologia-rev-20200224081100.html\"> &nbsp;Women Santander Now<\/a> ,<a href=\"https:\/\/digitalent.xunta.gal\/es\/content\/el-programa-girl-stem-entrevista-amparo-alonso-betanzos-investigadora-en-proyectos-de\"> Girl STEM<\/a> &nbsp;y en<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/wisibilizalas\/status\/950808999200477185\"> Wisibilizalas<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">In connection with the Spanish Society for Natural Language Processing (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sepln.org\/\" target=\"_self\">SEPLN<\/a>) and within the framework of the <a href=\"https:\/\/gplsi.dlsi.ua.es\/pln\/\" target=\"_self\">PLN.net<\/a> network, <a href=\"https:\/\/gplsi.dlsi.ua.es\/pln\/divertles\/\" target=\"_self\">DiverTLes<\/a>, has been created, a community of women working and researching in Language Technologies (TL) in Spain to promote scientific vocations in this area of Artificial Intelligence and in which round tables are held for women researchers to make their work known to younger women. A database has been created with more than 100 female researchers in the area in Spain. In addition, a blog has been created in which women carry out tasks of dissemination of topics of interest as well as other types of initiatives.
